DONATIONS AND PLANNED GIVING
Cabot’s Museum Foundation is a qualified 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that may accept cash or planned giving donations. Your support, through donations, helps the Foundation manage the Museum and keeps the legacy of Cabot Yerxa alive. If you would like to discuss our Cash Donation or Planned Giving programs, please contact Irene N. Rodríguez, Executive Director, at 760.329.8100. Cabot’s Museum Foundation currently has three programs you may choose to support through our Cash Donation program:
Donation to the General Fund directly supports the Board of Directors’ efforts to promote the Museum, staff, and operations, as well as help keep the Pueblo open for our community.
Your gift to the Collection Preservation Fund helps to preserve and protect the artifacts and treasures at Cabot’s Pueblo Museum including the pottery, art, and household objects. It also includes all of the documents, journals, and ephemera that are part of the hand-written history left by Cabot Yerxa that capture his homesteading adventures and his journeys across the United States, Cuba, and France. Preservation is an ongoing process with the goal of maintaining these records for future generations. Please contact Irene N. Rodríguez, Executive Direction, to be a part of the Collection Preservation program.
The Pueblo and other buildings are in need of repair and improvements to protect and / or restore them to their original condition when Cabot Yerxa was alive. The priority is protecting and preserving the Hopi-style Pueblo from rain and erosion due to water runoff from the nearby mountain. As such, a historical structure report is needed to determine the proper course of action to protect and restore the Pueblo. If you would like to be a part of the Pueblo Preservation program, please contact Irene N. Rodríguez, Executive Director, at 760.329.8100 or Irene.N.Rodriguez@CabotsMuseum.org.
