Come on an adventure to learn about Cabot Yerxa and his incredible home! We offer numerous ways to explore the museum, courtyard, outer buildings, exhibition gallery, and Water Gallery. Museum is closed and will reopen on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 9 a.m.
Guided/Self-Guided Tours
When you select a Guided Tour or a Self-Guided Tour, your journey will lead you into the rooms of the pueblo to discover how Cabot Yerxa built the pueblo, what adventures he took, and how he made Desert Hot Springs his home. Each tour is approximately 45 minutes long. For Guided AND Self-Guided Tours: Online tickets are available 24 hours daily. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your tour time to check-in at the Trading Post.

When you select an In-person Tour or an Audio Tour, your journey will lead you into the rooms of the pueblo to discover how Cabot Yerxa built the pueblo, what adventures he took, and how he made Desert Hot Springs his home. Each tour is approximately 45 minutes long.

Tour Times (October 1- May 31):
9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. | Tuesday through Friday (subject to availability)
Tour Times (June 1- September 30):
9:30am and 11:30am | Tuesday through Thursday (subject to availability)
$16 for General Admission, $14 for Seniors, Active Military, and Children ages 6-12. Children under 5 are free.
Ticket sales close an hour and half before each tour time.
SELF-GUIDED TOURS:
Tour Times (October 1- May 31):
9am, 10am, 10:30am, 11am, 2pm, and 2:30pm | Tuesday through Friday
9am – 3pm | Saturday
12pm – 3pm | Sunday
Tour Times (June 1- September 30):
9am, 10am, 10:30am, and 11am | Tuesday through Thursday
9am – 12pm | Friday and Saturday
$13 for General Admission, $11 for Seniors, Active Military, and Children ages 6-12. When multiple groups purchase tickets for the same tour, the start time will be spaced out. Please have your mobile device fully charged with data. Access to the audio will be given upon your arrival.
Grounds Tours
Walk the grounds of the museum, enjoy the view of the Coachella Valley and view two rooms: Water and Exhibition Galleries for an admission of $5 per person. Children under 5 years old are free.

Cabot’s Pueblo Museum and Riverside County Office of Education Visual and Performing collaborated to create four arts lesson plans based on the museum’s art collection and the life and work of Cabot Yerxa. These lessons are suitable for elementary and middle school students and utilize inexpensive art materials that can be found at your local big box or dollar store. We hope you will consider doing these lessons either before or immediately following a visit to the museum to allows students to learn with and through the arts.)
